Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. I've taught every standard across all three levels. Many tutors only cover the standards they're familiar with from their own schooling. I cover the full range, so whatever your school offers, I can help.
Yes, I have prepared practice exams for the new Level 1 standard and for the NCEA Numeracy assessments.
For internals completed under test conditions at school, I prepare my students as I would for any other exam. For internal assessments completed at home, I can offer feedback and suggestions and help with structure, but I won't write any part of the work for you.
It depends on where you're heading. If you're planning to study engineering, physics, or computer science, Calculus is usually essential. If you're leaning toward business, psychology, or health sciences, Statistics is often more relevant. Some students take both. It's also worth checking the prerequisites for specific university papers. For example, some university business and finance papers require a calculus prerequisite, which can catch students off guard if they only took Statistics at school. I'm happy to help my students think through this decision.
