I've been tutoring maths for over 20 years, working one-on-one with students from Year 7 through to university.
I teach NCEA, Cambridge and IB, as well as first- and second-year university maths. Most students come to me for one exam and stay for three years or more. By then I know how they think, where they usually slip up, and what's coming next for them, so we can deal with problems before they show up in a test.
I've also written hundreds of my own worksheets and practice papers. If a student needs another twenty questions on trig the night before a test, I usually have them ready, and they can message me on WhatsApp if they get stuck.
I got an A+ in first-year university maths myself, and I write practice sets that match the style of the actual tests and exams.

Frequently Asked Questions
Lectures teach concepts and methods, but exams test your ability to recognise which method to use and when. That's a different skill. Working through textbooks topic-by-topic does not teach you how to figure out the right approach to a question. Practising with mixed problems, where you have to decide the approach yourself, is the most effective way to build this skill.
Difficulties are best addressed early. But if you're close to your exam and think you need help, there may still be time to make improvements. If you only have a week or two, get in touch and I'll give you an honest assessment of what progress is realistic.
